About Outward Bound Singapore

Outward Bound Singapore (OBS), a division of NYC, is part of a worldwide adventure-based training network in more than 30 countries. We are a leader in outdoor education and have developed more than 500,000 youths over the past 50 years through outdoor programmes. We do not merely impart outdoor skills and knowledge; we seek to inspire individuals and transform communities. Utilising adventure education as a pedagogy, our programmes aim to inspire youths to start a journey of self-discovery, and build confidence and resilience. As Manager (Integrated Facilities Management), you will be part of the Facilities & Project Management (FPM) team at OBS providing integrated facilities management (IFM) for smooth running of all OBS programs and events across OBS campuses. You play a key role in providing expeditious and quality services to ensure OBS campuses’ physical infrastructure and facilities are in good working condition for safe, effective, smooth and uninterrupted OBS’ operations.

Your key job responsibilities include:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of facilities management (FM) services.
  • Establish and monitor performance standards of appointed Integrated Facility Management (IFM) contractors and consultants’ operations and ensure key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality service standards are met.
  • Oversee plans, schedules, and project budget. Monitor projects from initiation to delivery, interfacing with stakeholders or department personnel.
  • Manage the overall project responsibilities in the entire process which includes stakeholders’ engagement, working with consultants from conceptual stage to the tender process, capitalization of fixed assets, change management, contract management, payment procedures including cost control and monitoring. You will need to ensure timely project management and reporting to management and stakeholders.
  • Prepare and manage the department's operating budget and ensure compliance with Government procurement and financial procedures.
  • Ensure proper data management, including archival of data, financial information, approval documents for audit and reference for future development of buildings.
  • Drive workplace transformation initiatives and technological advancements in FM to shape the next generation workplace.

Requirements

We are looking for a team player with leadership qualities, well-organized, self-motivated, values integrity, and take pride in going the extra mile to provide excellent service to stakeholders. In addition, an ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Minimum 2 years in Facilities Management, Property/Estate Management.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a bonus and/or Green Mark Facilities Manager (GMFM) certificate or equivalent is an added advantage.
  • Ability to effectively use technology to access, evaluate, integrate, create and communicate information to enhance FM processes through problem-solving and critical thinking.
  • Candidates with good understanding of digital FM solutions will have added advantage.
  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative and resourceful.
  • Intermediate level of IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Based at OBS Campus (Pulau Ubin), but may also have to travel to other OBS Campuses (East Coast Campus, Punggol Reception & Activity Centre and Changi Campsite).
