Job Summary:
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all materials, equipment, and installation activities on-site meet the required quality standards. This role involves executing specific inspections, issuing quality inspection records, and managing non-conformance reports. The QC Inspector will work closely with the production team, ensuring that all processes, from loop checks to instrument calibration, adhere to industry standards and are well-documented.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executes the specific inspections & QC on materials, equipment and installation activities on site.
- Issues the relevant Quality Inspection Records and, when necessary, record non-conformances report to the production supervisor, project manager and relevant parties for action
- Ensure the production team performs all relevant loop checks by requiring documentary evidence of such checks signed off
- Ensure the production team performs completed cable connector tests of continuity, insulation resistance, and other electrical testing and require documentary evidence of such tests signed off
- Performs visual inspections, dimensional tests, checks rating and material for connection, ensuring the connectors, PCBA and other products comply with standards and record noncompliance in Inspection report & follow up to ensure rectification
- Ensure documentary evidence of production team calibration of instruments for relevant processes and signed off by legitimate 3rd party measurement companies
- Witness the verification tests, controls and inspections carried out to evaluate the integrity of the QA/QC processes for both offsite & onsite at depots and workshops
- Check conformity with the Quality Control Plan, obtain the relevant documentation, check procedures and equipment to be used in tests, controls and inspections, and manage documents certifying tests, controls and inspections.
