· Comply with HSE principles, policies and procedures whilst challenging each of these to ensure optimum delivery of a safe shutdown.
· Responsible for setting and achieving KPI’s for the shutdown function
Ensures required maintenance information is being captured correctly in designated systems
· Operationally experienced input ensuring shutdowns are realistic and achievable4.
· Ensures that a Process quality check is applied from an offshore perspective
Liaise with the onshore Shutdown team via the Activity Integrated Lead whilst offshore
Assistance with scheduling of the shutdown plan to optimise POB and resource levels
· Organise and lead Workshops to rank all activities detailed in Shutdown/project Work list
· Work with the OI team to extend internal inspection schedule wherever practicable
· Develop Pre shutdown/project workscopes and plan with assistance of Offshore Focal points
· Deliver method statements for Process flushing and purging, ensuring full engagement with Process Engineers
· Ensure work orders and order associated materials are raised for shutdown in good time
· Ensures all work order closures are managed effectively, including the completion of relevant shutdown & maintenance documentation
· Develop the specific shutdown/project Action Tracker through PMCS
Gate keeper of scope additions / deletions procedure and register
Monitor progress of all Shutdown/project Milestones and all Work packs to ensure planned delivery dates are achieved
· Manage work scope queries with the site Offshore Shutdown focal points
· Track all Pre shutdown preparation works through a weekly shutdown meeting
· Provide status reports for the current year shutdown execution plan
· Liaise with OIM and develop the POB Mobilisation plan
· Liaise with OIM to arrange pre shutdown WCC workshops
· Lead daily shutdown meetings during the shutdown period, principally the following stages - Initial shutdown, Drain, Flush, Purge, Vent and Isolate, Scope completion, N2 Leak Testing, Line Walking and plant Line Up, Process Start Up, Update shutdown/project action Tracker
· Collate all shutdown/project Lessons Learned and update register
· Organise the Shutdown Wash-up’s and lessons learned sessions
Responsible for maintaining historical records for shutdown.
Education Attainment & Accreditation
Must be Post graduate and significant experience in a similar role
Predominantly able to perform Superintendent / OIM role
Excellent communication skills

A strong understanding of Offshore Process and Operations
Competent in use of Maximo Maintenance Management System
Extensive, Design Engineering and Operations experience within the oil and gas industry
