Project Overview: This project focuses on achieving significant and sustainable business growth for the company in a designated region. The General Manager will lead the regional sales operation, spearheading all aspects of the sales cycle, and collaborating with global teams to maximize market penetration and revenue generation.
Key Components:
Strategic Sales Leadership:
- Design and maintain a comprehensive sales plan tailored to the specific region, aligning with our overall growth strategy and revenue targets.
- Conduct thorough market research, analyze customer behavior, and study competitor activity to gain a deep understanding of the market landscape and craft effective sales tactics.
- Develop and nurture leads through targeted prospecting strategies, ensuring a continuous pipeline of high-potential clients that fit the company’s global vision.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and manage strong relationships with both prospective and existing clients throughout the sales cycle, acting as a trusted advisor and primary contact point from initial outreach to successful onboarding.
- Represent the company at key client meetings and local industry events, showcasing expertise and fostering lasting partnerships.
- Develop customized proposals and presentations tailored to individual client needs, utilizing persuasive arguments to highlight product/service value propositions.
Operational Excellence:
- Optimize sales processes for regional operations, ensuring efficient management and a disciplined pipeline.
- Collaborate closely with the global sales team to achieve maximum commercial success for the company as a whole.
- Streamline sales processes to ensure seamless interaction between regional and central teams.
Market Intelligence and Collaboration:
- Capture valuable customer insights including needs, problems, preferences, and competitor activity.
- Share market intelligence and potential new product/service opportunities with the company for strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with the global marketing team to align local marketing efforts with regional lead generation and client engagement goals.

- Monitor all competitive & industry activities, regarding trends, assortment, marketing, pricing & promotions. Identify & forecast category trends & opportunities before the crowd.
- Own the category P&L and ensuring the category margin
- Creating the right product mix for the local market
- Track and work around key market trends / drivers of categories to identify and act on commercial opportunities
- Source, build and maintain strong supplier relationships
- Negotiate favourable trading terms and secure promotional support and advertising spend with suppliers
- Coordinate with Suppliers, Marketing and Operations to develop promotional campaigns, forecast demand and to secure consistent availability
- Assist with the onboarding of new suppliers and setting up of promotional campaigns
