Our client is an investment firm focusing on infrastructure projects across Asia. The role is based in town. The co allows a WFH arrangement 3 days per week.
This role is a 9 to 12 months contract role. The person will be hired under the investment firm which offers a completion bonus, flexi benefits and medical/ insurance benefits. This role will not automatically lead to a perm role (as this role is recreated to back fill colleagues in the team who are assigned to work on a SAP Hana system implementation). That said, the company is expanding and may offer a role to a strong performer after the contract completion if there is a new headcount approval in future (but this is not guaranteed).
For this role, it is an Accounting Assistant Mgr/ Mgr job scope focusing on accounting operations work including month end close, financial accounting, tax, financial reporting, payments, GL/AR/ AR functions. One of the key roles is to ensure that the month end close process is completed smoothly and in a timely manner (e.g. accruals are done on a timely manner). In addition, there will be expense reporting, accrual reporting, financial control, financial reporting, balance statement review and other ad hoc accounting work.
Ǫualifications & Experience
- Relevant credible accounting/finance qualifications (e.g. CPA, CA, LCCI, Degree or Diploma in Accounting).
- Around 7 to 13 years of hands-on accounting operations work including month end close, financial accounting, tax, financial reporting, payments, GL/AR/ AR functions
- Added financial reporting and financial reporting experience will be useful
- Experience of ERP and/or accounting systems such as SAP Hana is advantageous but not a must.
- Knowledge of Singapore Financial Reporting Standards and accounting standards is required.
- Adaptable and agile with good stakeholder and people management skills
- Thrive in a matrix reporting and MNC environment
- Able to start work by Oct 2024 and able to commit to a 9 to 12 months contract arrangement
