Responsibilities:
· To follow up on a job from start till end of project from quotation to on site job till invoicing and service report
· To lead teams of technicians to follow through on projects
· To work independently to execute engine general repair and overhaul jobs on board/ at site.
· Knowledge on performing dismantling, repair, replacement and reassembling of mechanical parts
· To troubleshoot and advise repair proposals on breakdown and operation of the machinery
· Conduct daily tool box meetings with teams prior to job commencement and ensuring safe work practices at all times
· Ensure all repairs, maintenance & overhaul jobs are completed in a timely manner
· Delivering high quality service standard to customer’s satisfaction.
· Preparing quotations for new enquiries, controlling cost of job within budget
· Prepare service reports post project completion
· Planning of job methodology and work schedule
· Liaising with customers to ensure smooth communication to complete a job
· Coordinate with local or overseas agents for job deployment and preparation
Requirements:
· Possess at least Diploma in Marine/Mechanical Engineering or Above
· Possess minimum 3 years experience in ship repair in Singapore
· Capable of liaison with customers and maintaining client relationship
· Good organization, planning and project management skills
· Highly organized person who can work with tight schedules to cater to the different arrival times of ships
· Must be willing to perform HANDS-ON work in mechanical repairs, installations and removal
· Able to provide technical assistance in all aspects of work
· Independent, resourceful, pro-active and team player
· Willing to work on site, on board vessels and in workshop with occasional irregular hours
· Passionate to work in the Marine Industry
· Good command of spoken and written English
