Responsibility
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Lorry Driver to join our team in the wholesale distribution of livestock, meat, poultry, eggs, and seafood. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in driving large vehicles, particularly in transporting perishable goods. This role requires a high level of responsibility, attention to detail, and strict adherence to safety and hygiene protocols to ensure that products are delivered in perfect condition.
Job Description
- Transport livestock, meat, poultry, eggs, and seafood to various locations, ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Regularly inspect the lorry to ensure it is in good working condition and report any issues that require attention.
- Monitor and maintain the correct temperature in refrigerated compartments to prevent spoilage of perishable goods.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, securing the cargo properly to prevent shifting during transit.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and ensure deliveries comply with food safety and hygiene standards.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while minimizing fuel consumption.
- Accurately complete and submit all required delivery documentation, including delivery notes and temperature logs.
- Communicate politely and professionally with customers during deliveries, addressing any concerns they may have.
- Able to carry heavy goods, roughly 20KG - 40KG.
- Able to work in pressure environment and need work under the sun.
- Need work at public holiday, weekend and overtime.
- The position requires good eyesight, hearing and physical condition. Because delivery drivers often deal with customers, employers look for applicants with initiative, who are neat, well spoken, courteous and work well with little supervision. A satisfactory driving record is usually required.
Working Location: BEDOK , 1ST trip will start at 6 am-630am
Requirement
*At least 2 Year(s) working experience and related field are required for this position.
*Must possess at least higher Education/ Diploma in any field.
*Must have a valid Singapore Class 3 driving license
*Familiar driving on Singapore roads or able to use GPS
*Bilingual speaker, need to liaise with Chinese & English client & workers.
*Strategic & critical thinking as well as decision-making and negotiation skills.
*Able to adapt, prioritize, exercise initiative, manage pressure, multi task and work independently.
*Excellent customer service skills, including communication skills, problem solving skills, organizational skills and teamwork spirit.
*Time management/ meticulous and mature in work.
