Job Description
· Support Head of Department Student Management and team members in developing, implementing and monitoring programmes for High Need Students (HNS)
· Partner HOD, teachers, school counsellors, and other staff members to provide mentorship, counseling, and support to these students, helping them navigate challenges and develop positive behaviors.
· Facilitate group discussions, after-school workshops, or upstream activities aimed at addressing their unique individual needs.
· Monitor and track the progress of the students, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure their success.
· Support the subject teachers in the classroom during specific lessons to teach, guide and monitor the academic and behavioral progress of identified HNS and ensure that they remain engaged.
· Assist with any related administrative duties and any ad-hoc events planned for the identified HNS
· Any other relevant jobs tied to the well-being of students assigned by HOD, Principal and Vice-Principle
Requirements
· Must be registered with the Ministry of Education (MOE).
· Have counselling qualifications and certifications by a recognized institution.
· Candidate must have experience working with vulnerable and at-risk youth in a school and/or community setting.
· Demonstrate resilience, empathy, patience, and a genuine desire to help at-risk students succeed.
· Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of the students and the school community.
· Will typical observe a 6.5 working hour commitment but is able to accommodate flexibility due to school needs e.g. early or late start time.
Working hours
· Mondays to Fridays: 10.00am to 4.30pm, inclusive of 0.5hr lunch break
· Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

Additional info:
· Contract Period: From 9 September 2024 to 15 November 2024 – 10 weeks
· With option to extend (Discretion) for another 40 weeks
· This is an outsource role
