Asian School of the Environment (ASE) is an interdisciplinary school that will be a world leader in environmental research focused on Asian environmental challenges. The ASE integrates earth and environmental life science, ecology, engineering and technology, human ecology, humanities, and the social sciences to address key issues of the environment and sustainability.
Our department is seeking to hire research associate to conduct a research project focused on marine turtles, funded by an MOE Tier 2 award. This research project is aims to investigate the effects of climate change on marine animals and marine biodiversity, which is in line with NTU’s mission in promoting sustainability in the Earth’s ecosystems and environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Organise field trips for sample and data collection, sample and data organization
- Handle genetic data generation and perform genetic analysis
- Mentor undergraduate students
- Manage a laboratory
- Write manuscripts
- Communicate and engage with team members and collaborators
- Improve research capability and related skillsets for further career development
Job Requirements:
- Master Degree in population genetics, genomics, ecology, marine biology, animal behaviour or a related field is mandatory
- Proficiency in coding/scripting languages like R and/or Python for data analysis is essential
- Prior experience in the field is preferred
- Strong verbal and written communications in English are necessary to conduct research and data analysis
- Excellent teamwork skills with an open and respectful attitude
- High motivation and passion for conservation and nature
