Finance Manager

A Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization's financial operations and strategy. This role involves financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial health and compliance with regulations. The Finance Manager also manages cash flow, conducts financial analysis, and provides strategic insights to support business decisions. Additionally, they lead the finance executive, implement cost-saving initiatives, and collaborate with senior management to drive overall business performance.


Job Scope

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Develop comprehensive financial plans aligned with the company’s strategic goals.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring all departments contribute to and align with the overall financial strategy.
  • Monitor and adjust budgets throughout the fiscal year to accommodate changes in business operations and objectives.
  • Prepare budget variance reports to manage and optimize budget performance.

Reports and Compliance

  • Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track financial performance.
  • Ensure adherence to all financial regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, addressing any issues or findings promptly.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the company's financial assets.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee daily cash flow management to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
  • Forecast cash flow positions and ensure funds are available for operational and strategic initiatives.
  • Manage banking relationships and negotiate terms to optimize cash management and financing costs.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and control operational expenses, ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
  • Analyze cost structures and recommend strategies for cost optimization without compromising service quality.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with management and other departments to support overall business strategy and performance.
  • Provide financial insights and support to business units to aid in strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Communicate financial performance and strategy to stakeholders, including investors, board members, and employees.

Qualifications & Skills Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably within start up and medical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, and budgeting.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
