Responsibilities
- Develop and implement an effective operational risk management framework tailored to the organization's needs and objectives.
- Responsible for the management of overall operational risk aspects including, risk registers, incident management, key risk indicators and both scheduled and ad-hoc risk assessments to identify control deficiencies.
- Develop and maintain risk management and governance policies and procedures as well as SOP’s across functional units and business units.
- Prepare and present risk reports and dashboards to senior management within the risk committee and other stakeholders.
- Acts as the subject matter expert for Operational Risk and Governance for the organisation ensuring that policies and procedures are in place per best practices.
- Responsible for assisting the organisation in increasing overall risk awareness through training, presentations and leading by example.
- Establish clear roles and responsibilities for risk management stakeholders and oversee the implementation of governance frameworks.
Skills/Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field. Advanced degree
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in enterprise risk management, with a focus on operational risk and governance.
- Proven experience in developing risk management policies and frameworks from scratch.
- Strong understanding of operational risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience working with operational risk management tools and systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Able to commit to 24/7 rotating shift work, needs to be comfortable working night shift
