Job Scope:
We are looking for a self-driven, committed and inquisitive laboratory analyst to augment client's research and surveillance programmes at the Environmental Health Institute (EHI). - You will be part of a dynamic team that works closely with a network of local and international collaborators to shape our public health landscape.
- The successful candidate will be part of the diagnostic team at the Environmental Health Institute that provides early diagnosis of vector-borne diseases.
- The candidate is also expected to participate in quality management initiatives and to collaborate in research projects.
- Besides handling risk group 2 pathogens, you are required to work with risk group 3 pathogens and involve in the risk assessment and development of protocols.
Requirements:
- A good degree in Life Sciences, Biology or related disciplines with at least 5 years of working experience in molecular biology techniques
- Experience in BSL2 or BSL3 laboratory is preferred
- Excellent analytical mind and systematic in planning
- Proficient in word and data processing tools (e.g. MS Word and Excel)
- Able to multitask and a team player
- Task orientated and meticulous
- Good in communication and interpersonal skills
- Willing to work after office hours and weekends if required
Salary: $19 to $24/hour
Location: Biopolis Way
Contract Period: 6 months
Mon - Fri (may be required work after office hours and weekends)
