Job Description:
Provide clinical/nursing leadership and expertise through assessing, planning, implementing and evaluation of nursing practice and standards of care for patients; managing resources and applying evidence-based nursing practice; and assuming accountability for the overall performance of the unit.
Key Responsibilities:
• To implement clinical nursing standards, policy and procedures and to ensure compliance to the hospital established guidelines and policies.
• To provide professional clinical expertise and resource for specific nursing and evidence-based practices to evaluate management of care of patients with complex healthcare needs.
• To provide leadership in the orientation, induction process, coaching and supervision; and competency assessment for all new staff.
• To role model the desired team and leadership behaviours. Be a mentor, counsellor and advocate when duty calls.
• To conduct regular clinical audits and assess clinical competencies to gauge performance and to ensure achievement of targets set and expected competency levels.
Requirements:
• Diploma in Nursing/Degree Qualification.
• Post-Basic Specialty Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Nursing/Degree (desirable)
• Singapore Nursing Board Practicing Certificate for Registered Nurse.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in hospital clinical settings.
• A meticulous and analytical team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
