Field Application Scientist
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Field Application Scientist located in Singapore. The Field Application Scientist will be responsible for conducting demonstrations, trainings, workshops, and providing technical support for customers. The Field Application Scientist will also provide feedback to product development and marketing teams.
The key responsibilities include:
- Provide pre-sales technical application support.
- Coordinate and conduct customer training and product demonstrations.
- Engage with customers for project consultations to understand customers’ needs and propose practical solutions accordingly.
- Provide post-sales technical support by troubleshooting issues encountered by customers.
- Work collaboratively with sales and marketing team to achieve commercial goals.
- Engage in in-depth scientific discussions with customers to drive scientific publications.
- Support sales and marketing initiatives at trade shows, seminars, webinars and technical symposia.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to public audiences and KOLs to build brand awareness.
- Manage customers’ expectations well and maintain positive relationships.
- Provide technical qualification of sales opportunities.
- Stay abreast of genomics technologies and trends to identify market needs.
- Gather and deliver customers’ feedback to the relevant internal teams.
- Participate in new product development projects as a representative of the technical support team.
- Contribute customer training and technical marketing resources.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Job Requirements
- Next-generation genomics experience preferred
- Laboratory skills required
- Strong background in research
- Data Analysis proficiency
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as a team player
- PhD or Master's degree in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Immunology, or related field
- Travel within Singapore and occasionally APAC
