Are you interested in working in FinTech? We are looking for a self-motivated, quick-thinking, and capable PR Intern to support the Communications & Content functions at Funding Societies. The PR Intern will be given exposure to a broad spectrum of integrated communications capabilities and develop skills that are required to be competitive in today’s business environment, and produce value-added services and results for Funding Societies. This role is based in Singapore.

The Intern will also be collaborating cross-functionally with the immediate Marketing Communications teams (SME Marketing, Investor Marketing, Brand, and Content), as well as Operations, Tech, and our Captains. 

Job Description

  • Monitor and prepare summary of a variety of news and communication formats (traditional media, blogs, online outlets, etc.)
  • Conduct secondary research for the purpose of PR campaigns with guidance
  • Support the draft of written material intended to represent the brand’s key messaging and point of view (Press releases, interview pointers, company or product fact sheets etc.)
  • Assist with media event planning and support (including logistics, onsite support and development of collaterals)
  • Support media activities as well as other corporate communications initiatives to the Regional Communications team
  • Work alongside the Marketing Communications team in helping with the idea generation, including the execution of the monthly marketing initiatives, particularly on PR
  • Collaborate closely with the PR Lead to actively participate in marketing events
  • Work closely with the Regional PR team on cross-market initiatives which may span across multiple channels regionally
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to proof-read and fact-check written material
  • When required, assist with any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

To excel in this role, the candidate should:

  • Have an interest in public relations and communications
  • Have some knowledge of the Financial Technology industry
  • Have passion or curiosity in the art of reputation management, crafting narratives and ideate content ideas to persuade public opinion and the media
  • Be an organized and meticulous multi-tasker who is able to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

  • Possess an excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Undergraduates/fresh graduates with a University degree or Polytechnic diploma, preferably in Mass Communications, Media Studies, Journalism, Business, Marketing or any communications-related field
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and a collaborative team player in a cross-cultural and cross-functional environment
  • Able to commit to the internship period: 5 working days for a minimum of 3 months (maximum 6 months)
  • Previous internship experience in a comms-related role is a plus
