Job Purpose
To provide support for projects on renewal of various system in SMRT stations and depots.
Responsibilities
- Inspection and supervision of contractor works such as laying of fibre optic cable, installation of cable tray, installation and testing of telecommunication equipment.
- Act as an onsite coordinator or person in-charge to provide access for the contractor to work at our stations / tracks and to be responsible for their safe access.
- Ensure rules and regulations are carried out in compliance with internal procedures.
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Minimum NITEC in Electronics/Electrical/Data Communication discipline or minimum 3 years of experience in cabling contractors’ work will be considered
- Safety supervisory cert is an advantage
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work well with large and diverse teams.
- Experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge in data networking in configuring routers, servers and switches preferred.
- Must be prepared to perform duties at night during non-passenger service hours (2300h to 0700h) from time to time.
- Must possess good oral and communications skills as well as be able to work independently.
