Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with EMA's licensing requirements, maintaining electrical installation licenses.
- Lead and mentor a team of O&M engineers and service engineers, overseeing the operation and maintenance of high voltage networks.
- Perform HV network switching, commissioning, and high voltage equipment maintenance. Conduct protection relay testing, underground cable fault location, cable identification, and cable jointing.
- Spearhead the planning and execution of projects aimed at upgrading existing electrical infrastructure. Lead electrification projects that enhance the sustainability of port operations.
- Take a leading role in the electrical infrastructure design and commissioning, ensuring alignment with future operational needs.
- Drive initiatives to improve energy efficiency and support sustainability goals by leading electrification and other green projects.
The Successful Applicant
Requirements:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Licensed Electrical Worker Grade 9 with at least 2 years of practicing experience at the 22kV voltage level.
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in high voltage electrical distribution network design, installation, and maintenance.
- Demonstrated experience in leading teams, with the ability to mentor and develop engineers in a high-stakes environment.
- Proven track record in managing complex projects, particularly in infrastructure upgrades and electrification.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, particularly in high voltage systems, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
