Job Description
SIA Engineering Company, Base Maintenance Division is seeking a Product Development Executive. He/she is responsible for providing technical expertise for design improvements or modification of cabin parts that have high failure rate.
- Perform aircraft cabin sweep to identify high failure-rate cabin parts for design improvements or modifications
- Provide technical expertise on cabin parts fabrication projects including mechanical design, material selection and manufacturing technology.
- Support design validation and certification by developing requirements and providing substantiation (i.e., prototyping, analysis, testing, trials, etc.) for new cabin part designs
- Support part production and certification and troubleshoot arising issues
- Manage and coordinate with various stakeholders to see projects through to completion
- Provide project timeline and update status to customers on the project progress
- Work with service providers, suppliers and partners to create a larger material supply chain and vendor ecosystem for various manufacturing technologies
- Recommend and procure necessary tools, equipment and machines to enhance product development capabilities for various manufacturing technologies
- Support holistic cabin services growth with capabilities development
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering.
- Possess excellent project management skills.
- Knowledge in CAAS/EASA DOA and POA processes will be an advantage.
- Self-starter with excellent interpersonal, analytical and communication skills.
- He/she must be customer centric, demonstrating analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work/execute under time pressure in a fast-moving environment.
- Self-driven with the ability to work independently and as a team
- Comfortable with design software (e.g., SOLIDWORKS, AutoCAD, etc.) and prototyping equipment (e.g., 3D printers, CNC machines, etc.)
