As we continue to grow, we are seeking a dedicated Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Executive to join our team and drive our commitment to health, safety, and sustainability.
Position Overview
As the HSE Executive, you will play a critical role in developing, implementing, and maintaining health, safety, and environmental standards across our operations. You will ensure compliance with local regulations, promote a culture of safety, and contribute to our sustainability initiatives to drive positive environmental impacts.
Apart from the traditional HSE scope, you will also have the opportunity to integrate social aspects of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) into our HR practices.
We will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore and do not require sponsorship of a work visa.
Location: Jurong East, Walking Distance from MRT Station
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Salary Range: SGD3,000 - SGD4,000 per month + $1,300 Transport Allowance
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety Management
- Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and safety audits to identify potential hazards.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Investigate and report on incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide HSE training and awareness programs to employees at all levels.
- Collaborate with operational teams to ensure safe working conditions and practices.
Environmental & Sustainability Management
- Lead initiatives to reduce environmental impacts, including waste management and energy efficiency
- Promote environmental awareness and sustainability practices within the company.
- Develop and implement sustainability programs aligned with company goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into daily operations.
- Report on sustainability metrics and progress towards achieving sustainability targets.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote sustainable practices within the industry.
Social Responsibility & HR Integration
- Integrate social aspects of ESG into employee welfare programs, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and community engagement activities.
- Support the development of policies and practices that promote a positive work culture and employee well-being.
- Advocate for employee involvement in community outreach and corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- At least 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) Act and regulations.
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 (Environmental Management) and ISO 45001 (Occupational Health & Safety) standards.
- Experience in sustainability practices and environmental management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence.
- Certifications in risk management or safety management is a plus.
- Experience in using EcoVadis platform is a plus.
