Responsibilities:
- Knowledge in US GAAP and IFRS
- Support tax calculations under Local and U.S. GAAP
- Assist in deferred taxation
- Reconcile Local vs. US GAAP books
- Implement and localize accounting and tax changes
- Aid in financial statement preparation and disclosures
- Address accounting issues, research treatments, and clarify queries
- Supervise tax computations and entries for China, Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, and Japan
- Conduct tax risk assessments and studies
- Manage and monitor tax audits
- Review local taxation documentation (GST/VAT) for compliance
- Perform sanity checks for VAT and withholding tax submissions
- Handle withholding tax documentation
- Oversee tax filings in Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong
- Ensure sanity checks for VAT, withholding tax, and local income tax submissions
- Maintain transfer pricing compliance for branches
- Review intercompany pricing policy for adherence to Group Transfer Pricing Policy
- Ensure proper documentation for APAC entities (local files, translated Master File, CBCR notification filing)
- Oversee expense cross-charge activities
- Address ad hoc transfer pricing queries
- Support and assess integration, merger, and acquisition activities
- Manage corporate secretarial matters (dividends, share certificates, directors' resolutions)
- Ensure completeness of annual returns (ACRA/SEC/AIC)
- Act as CorpPass Administrator
Requirements:
- Candidate should possess Degree in Accountancy, ACCA or equivalent
- Proficient in SAP within a manufacturing environment
- Brings along 10 years of tax and accounting experience in a large auditing firm
- West region
