Job Description
- Industry/Organization Type: Manufacture of Oil and Gas Production Equipment
- Position Title: Project Engineer
- Working Location: Tuas Crescent
- Working Hours: 5.5 days (Monday – Friday 8 am – 4.45 pm, Saturday 8 am – 12 pm)
- Salary Package: Up to $5,000 + VB
- Duration: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
- Organize, control, and lead the project team in coordination with inter-departments, sub-contractors, customers, and third-party/MOM inspectors to ensure projects are completed according to the production schedule, thereby meeting customer specifications and quality requirements while keeping the project cost within budget.
- Conduct a detailed review of contracts, customer technical specifications/data, and related documents, and manage the project through to completion.
- Monitor project cost variances and investigate any overruns.
- Liaise with customers and third parties on all technical problems, clarifications, and progress related to the projects.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Department and participate in the purchasing committee to ensure material and subcontracting services are within budget and delivered on schedule.
- Formulate plans, strategies, and implement control procedures to ensure the smooth execution of projects.
- Participate in troubleshooting problems encountered during fabrication.
- Analyze, review, and evaluate change orders for the project as necessary.
- Initiate kick-off meetings with workshop personnel and sub-contractors to discuss project requirements and specifications.
- Undertake any ad-hoc projects assigned by the Project Manager.
