Key Responsibilities:
- Operate ROVs during underwater missions, ensuring alignment with company protocols and objectives.
- Assist the Senior ROV Pilot in key marine operations, such as lifting, launching, and recovering the ROV.
- Liaise with stakeholders including port authorities, client vessels, and bunker barges to coordinate operations smoothly.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on ROVs, focusing on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Prepare essential reports and documentation before and after operations to ensure accurate record-keeping.
- Contribute ideas and implement upgrades to enhance the operational and technical efficiency of the ROV system.
- Handle additional tasks as assigned by the Technical or Country Manager.
Qualifications:
- Strong technical expertise in electrical and electronics engineering; candidates with a mechanical engineering background are also encouraged to apply.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to improve ROV design and functionality.
- Thorough knowledge of marine and electrical safety protocols with a deep commitment to safety.
- Experience in offshore ROV operations is preferred but not essential.
- Proficient in basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
- Exceptional 3D spatial awareness for accurate navigation and operations.
- Detail-oriented and quality-focused, with a commitment to high standards of work.
- Proactive, hands-on team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Physically and mentally prepared to work in vessel and shipyard environments.
- Flexible with working irregular hours as needed.
Compensation:
- Starting salary is based on experience and qualifications, with a maximum of $4,600 including overtime
