Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Driver and Delivery Driver to operate our 24-foot lorry, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong driving record, excellent navigation skills, and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 14-24-foot lorry, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Plan and navigate routes to ensure timely delivery
- Communicate with clients and dispatch team to coordinate deliveries
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including paperwork and logs
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections on the vehicle
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience driving a commercial vehicle (24ft lorry or larger)
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Excellent navigation and route-planning skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- High school diploma or equivalent required
