Our client is a leading company in the education sector, with a global presence. They are currently recruiting for an Assistant HR Manager to support the implementation of HR initiatives and policies across South East Asia, foster a high performance culture and promote employee engagement.

about the job

Reporting to the Regional HR Director, you will:

  • Lead and facilitate the annual performance remuneration and bonus review process, collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
  • Oversee payroll data preparation and ensure timely and accurate employee payments in coordination with the internal finance department.
  • Manage the administration of benefits programs, including insurance, pension plans, and leave entitlements.
  • Ensure that HR policies such as compensation and benefit documents are updated and accessible to employees.
  • Maintain accuracy and integrity of employee data in the HRIS systems for SEA countries.
  • Collaborate on the design, testing, and implementation of new HRIS modules.
  • Oversee employment visas and work permit administration, ensuring compliance with local legislation.
  • Handle employee relations, including grievance procedures, dispute resolution, and compliance with employment practices.
  • Support regional teams in onboarding, presentations, and engagement activities.
  • Support HR ad-hoc projects as assigned

skills and experience required

  • At least 6 years of generalist HR experience, including in the areas of Compensation & Benefits, HR Information Systems, and employee relations.
  • Experience in dynamic multinational companies with regional offices and matrix reporting structures, working with cross-cultural teams
  • Proactive, organized, able to multitask and work independently
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Driven, confident, and proficient in SuccessFactors and Microsoft Offices; additional skills in other software or systems will be an added advantage
