Purpose and Scope
The BIM Coordinators are responsible for managing construction models and workflows. Their primary tasks includes developing and enforcing BIM documentation and workflow process standards, coordinating information and data management, and liaising between project teams, clients, and consultants.
Responsibilities
- Competent on the use of BIM software and modelling techniques to produce 3D modelling and drawing production from 3D models, including but not limited to AutoDesk Revit (Architecture/Civil &Structural/Mechanical/Electrical), Naviswork, etc
- Assist the project teams in managing the project BIM model to support the construction works
- Assist in maintaining established BIM standards and workflows
- Possesses the knowledge in basic engineering disciplines in Architectural/ Civil/ Electrical/ Mechanical works to be able to generate information in the building services integrated layout in 3D for analysis to identify possible clashes and discrepancies and assist in the conflict resolutions to enable successful completion of the project without abortive works.
- Administer and generate relevant 3D model information to the request of the construction team members to help them understand hidden or conflicting details that cannot be visually understood from 2D construction drawings.
- Assist with the updates and archival of 3D models for as-built records and submission to Client and Authorities and relevant documentation.
- Manage process of information inflow / inputs, exchange, collaboration and coordination of BIM data with consultants, contractors and other stakeholders.
- Participate in design and model coordination meetings and reviews sessions.
- Any other duties assigned from time to time
- Ensure the smooth completion of the project
Requirements
- Diploma / Higher Nitec in Architectural, Civil / Structural Engineering, MEP, with BIM Certifications from BCA or other relevant disciplines
- Building Construction Supervisors Safety Course
- Expert knowledge in the use of BIM tools for design / construction documentation for all stages of the development phases from project inception till completion/handover to users.
- Possesses good interpersonal skills for BIM coordination and collaborative processes.
- Interest in working using software and technologies and BIM model creation.
- Align self with organisation’s purpose, collaborative in teams, accountable in delivering outcomes, willingness to learn and adapt.
