- Lead, direct, and manage the Asia Business Division commercial team, providing strategic execution and support for tender submissions across the region’s businesses.
- Oversee the efficient and effective management of commercial, procurement, and contractual activities for the region’s business operations.
- Facilitate the professional development of staff in commercial, procurement, contract administration, and project management, focusing on commercial matters.
- Maintain regular interfaces with Group functions, including Commercial, Finance, Engineering, and others.
- Relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum of 15 years of experience in project and contractual engineering, including at least 10 years in a commercial management role within the construction/engineering industry.
- Demonstrated integrity and acumen in establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders and customers.
- Significant experience working in Asia, with a strong understanding of its cultural nuances. Proven ability to analyze contractual and legal issues and provide solutions through appropriate problem-solving techniques.
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven negotiation and inter-relationship skills, evidenced by effective dispute resolutions.
- Ability to quickly grasp concepts and apply innovative solutions to current practices.
- Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, along with competent presentation abilities.
