The Junior Designer will work closely with the Lead Designers / Senior Designers and be responsible to support for all design phases from concept development to visualisation, documentation, site implementation and project close out, including OMMs, As Builts and FF&E / Asset Registers.
Job description:
- Responsible to support Lead Designer / Senior Designers for all design phases from concept to project close out
- Responsible for design coordination throughout design, procurement, construction and close out phase.
- Work closely with the Project lead, Senior Designers and QS / PM team
- Coordinate with vendors, relevant consultants and contractors during all project stages
- Coordinate with the technical team to produce fully coordinated tender & construction documentation packages
- Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet given deadlines
- Attend site meetings and factory visits, showrooms to check compliance to design and assist in providing solutions to site issues.
- Manage design change activities including design tracker implementation, project activity tracker, design dashboard, design drawing register, project design folder management.
Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Architecture or Interior Design or equivalent
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience designing interiors of Commercial Offices, hotels and high-end residences is a plus in Singapore and Internationally
- Experience in handling Commercial Office projects in all design phases
- Creative with strong design flair and presentation skills
- Good knowledge of product specification, sourcing and suppliers
- Good understanding of design in terms of composition, space planning, detailing, materials and FF&E selection
- Coordinate with the 3d visualization team to support additional visual support, material alignment and selection
- Assists in material & furniture sourcing and selection
- Takes charge in material & furniture selection
- Supports furniture drawings & rendering when required
- Strong in design detailing and freehand sketching
- Good understanding of site work and implementation
- Strong communication skills
- Thorough understanding of AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch up, 3D Max etc…
- Strong organisational skills
- Able to understand drawings and design
