About the Role:
Are you a skilled Systems Engineer with a strong background in technical infrastructure management and engineering? Join our dynamic Technology Infrastructure team within a leading financial organization. We are looking for a hands-on professional to lead multiple projects and manage a distributed architecture framework that hosts mission-critical J2EE internet and intranet applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and build web-based applications and services on Weblogic Server/Portal in a UNIX infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex application integration points, coordinating with virtual teams across the enterprise to deliver robust J2EE hosting solutions.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, adapting quickly to changes and challenges.
- Collaborate closely with application teams to deploy new applications in Weblogic and WebSphere hosting environments.
- Gather and manage application configuration needs, coordinating with administrators and vendors to resolve technical issues.
- Provide on-call support and maintain flexible working hours as needed.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience supporting Middleware products such as Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, IBM HTTP Server, Apache, etc.
- Proven expertise in J2EE at a large-scale enterprise level.
- Extensive scripting experience in Jython, Python, YAML, and Perl.
- Hands-on experience with Middleware administration tools like mDeliver, BladeLogic, etc.
- Strong troubleshooting skills using diagnostic tools.
- Comprehensive understanding of peripheral systems, including networking, load balancing, application development, and operating systems.
- Experience with monitoring systems like Splunk, Introscope, Sitescope, etc.
- Knowledge of industry security baselines.
- Ability to create documentation for troubleshooting, performance optimization, and remediation.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) frameworks is a plus.
