Application Developer (Business Systems)

This role is responsible for supporting the roadmap and working with the delivery teams for technical implementation. You will partner up with business, marketing and technical stakeholders to define requirements on both ends and implement the solution. You are an application developer (Salesforce) and you are also expected to know and understand business goals and context, to help achieve the outcomes.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure quality of assigned development work to be delivered.
  • Follow all standard operating procedures and maintain updated ticketing for events, incidents, requests, changes, problem, etc. to ensure compliance and consistency in work processes.
  • Provide technical assistance for escalated end-user troubleshooting, bug fixes and “how-to” assistance to ensure timely resolutions for application issues.
  • Make recommendations and propose technical solutions to meet business/project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance and that the system fits its intended use via documentation and execution of computer systems validation.
  • When needed, provide leadership for the delivery of new initiatives / enhancements as well as operational support for solutions in production to meet organization requirements.
  • Train team members to have the knowledge and be effective in using/supporting/ enhancing a delivered system/solution.
  • Support development of team capabilities to meet organizational strategies/goals by developing the capabilities of the team by guiding & coaching junior team members.
  • Researches, designs, develops, configures, integrates, tests and maintains existing and new business applications and/or information systems
  • Provides required documentation and participates in architecture reviews to ensure that the solutions comply with standards and use approved technologies.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent.
  • Have 3 – 4 years of working experience in application/system development.
  • Experience in technical development, deployment, and integration of software solutions.
  • Experience working in agile environment involving intra and inter-team dependencies and with scrum methodology practices.
  • Experience with software test methodologies, test scripting and testing tools.
  • Experience working with the required (or similar) domain technologies (Salesforce, MuleSoft, Canvas, AWS).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and oral.
  • Proficient software engineering skills with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud.
  • Experience with MuleSoft’s Anypoint Studio and Anypoint Platform is a big plus.
  • Experience in using/administering Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a big plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases, data modelling, and ETL tools.
  • Capable of understanding business requirements and implementing complex integrations.
  • Good problem-solving skill that is able analyze issues from multiple perspectives and derive pragmatic and comprehensive solutions to problems.
  • Team player who can communicate effectively, to bring forth the ideas, plans and strategies to other stakeholders in order forge common goals and concretize deliverables.
  • Able to work highly independently and good project management skills.
