Contract Period: 1 Nov 2024 to 31 Dec 2025 with option to extend until 31 Dec 2026
Working Hours:
- Mondays to Thursdays: 7:30am to 5:00pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Fridays: 7:30am to 4:30pm, inclusive of 1hr lunch break
- Working hours will vary on school days/holiday to coincide with planned programmes
- Personnel will be required to stay overnight on-site to support planned programmes, such camps
- Service is not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays. In the event that personnel is required to perform duty on Saturday or Sunday, personnel shall be granted off-in-lieu
Job Description:
- Assist in the running of outdoor programmes in the school
- Perform the role of Safety Instructor for outdoor programmes in the school
- Manage and facilitate use of the school’s Outdoor Adventure Facilities (OAF) by internal and external users
- Regularly inspect and maintain the school’s OAF and request for rectification where necessary
- Provide assistance to the Outdoor Education Department in the school
Job Requirements:
- 1 year experience and expertise in similar position
- Possess a diploma in outdoor and adventure education or equivalent
- Possess a valid Challenge Course Instructor Level 1 Certification or equivalent throughout the contract period
- Possess a valid First Aid & AED Certification throughout the contract period
- Possess knowledge of safety requirements of maintaining OAF and conducting activities using OAF
- Enjoy working with students, and is able to motivate and inspire the students
- Possess leadership skills and able to impart values of education
- Able to work independently as well as in a team
