The SKILT Centre – the SpecialKids Intervention, Learning and Therapy Centre established in collaboration with SpecialKids Child Health & Development Clinic, provides a holistic series of programmes that target individuals aged 2 and upwards, through teenage years.

Job Description
- Assess children of different ages on their behavioural, social and emotional needs
- Formulate an intervention plan for the child based on assessment findings.
- After each intervention session, parents are updated of the child's progress during the session and some strategies will be shared with the parents to reinforce what was taught/done during the session
- Collaborate with different stakeholders (i.e., parents, preschool teachers, intervention teachers and therapists) of the child to understand more about the child in different setting (i.e., schools and home) to help better manage the child's behaviour
- Provide support for in-class behavioural management, psychotherapy, school shadowing or support services at school
Administrative work
- Recording of case notes after each session. This is important as it records the progress of the session so that it is easy to monitor the child's progress and their behaviour
- Attend Inter-Department Training, case discussion, staff consultation and any other meetings requested by the management
- We are looking for vibrant, dynamic, passionate individuals interested in teaching children with special educational needs – learning disabilities, dyslexia as well as those with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder, developmental coordination disorders.
Requirements:
- Degree in Psychology/ Special Education/Early Childhood (Special Needs)
- Other relevant certification and related qualifications
- Able to work on Saturdays
Experience:
Mininum one year experience in providing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for special needs children.
