The Tax Risk Management team assists the Tax Function to disseminate timely and relevant information on developments in legislation and regulations that are relevant to our tax professionals, and executes initiatives to manage our risks in a challenging environment. The Tax Risk Management team invites a highly motivated, dynamic professional to join us.
The role involves:
- Be part of the Tax Risk Management team servicing internal clients.
- Understand the necessity of KPMG to comply with KPMG Global risk management requirements and administer the processes required to maintain compliance.
- Supports organizational compliance including review and evaluate compliance issues and apply procedures through regular risk exposure monitoring, analysis and reporting.
- Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future
- Be familiar with the organization data architecture, perform data-mining, understand the business processes and perform gap analysis
- Maintain, monitor/update validity of risk modeling outputs of risk management systems
- Develop tools and establish processes to improve efficiencies
- Deliver training as necessary
The ideal candidate should possess:
- Relevant experience, preferably Big 4 experience
- Demonstrate ability to understand tax professional services and its interaction with legislation and regulations (e.g. BEPS, SEC, IESBA etc)
- Patient and analytical, with an eye for detail
- Mentally agile to cope with complexity
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, team working skills and proven ability to juggle multiple high priority tasks
- Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
- Detail oriented, strong organizational skills with ability to carry out tasks with minimal supervision
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse personalities in a tactful, decisive and resourceful manner
- Intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite of programmes
