We are looking to hire a graduate with a good Degree from an internationally recognised university. The candidate should have some international work/life/cultural experience as they will be required to facilitate the connection of Mandarin speaking clients in China and Taiwan to the Singapore, Middle East and European insurance markets.
The selected candidate will assist in dealing with new enquiries, servicing existing customers, and cultivating lasting relationships across various cultures and time zones. You should be able to read and write English and Mandarin fluently and to a level that is suitably formal enough for business dealings. You should have knowledge of specialty insurance products and good interpersonal skills. A good broker creates lasting and trusting relationships with clients by taking the time to understand their requirements.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating marketing initiatives to attract new clients, particularly from China, Taiwan and Hong Kong.
- Meeting with potential clients in China and Taiwan to discuss their insurance needs.
- Researching available options for the client.
- Prepare insurance contracts and policies.
- Negotiate with reinsurers to arrange suitable cover at a reasonable price.
- Be able to explain the coverage to the client.
- Assist with premium collection.
- Processing client accounts
- Advising clients on risk management initiatives.
- Preparing reports/presentations for reinsurers.
- Maintaining client relationships.
Requirements:
- Degree with Honours from an internationally recognised university.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both conversational and writing, and to a level that is suitably formal enough for business dealings
- A passion for sales.
- Knowledge of specialty insurance products
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
