The Operations Intern oversees all event on-site tasks. He/She is the main person that contacts the vendors to ensure that the events are on time and within budget. He/She works closely with other departments and vendors to ensure operational requirements are fulfilled. He/She provides regular updates to internal stakeholders.
He/She is detailed and resourceful, and is mentally strong to work in a stressful environment. He/She possesses excellent multi-tasking and project management skills. He/She actively troubleshoots operational issues during events.
He/She is comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor environments, depending on the nature of the events.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages events and ensures that programme flow is followed
- Oversees the deployment of instructors and part-timers for events
- Liaises with vendors and internal staff to ensure that events run smoothly
- Assists in meetings with clients to discuss event specifications
- Manage participant enquiries regarding the events
- Carry out site set-up pre-event and site tear-down post-event
- Manage stock-taking of event equipment and inventory
Qualifications and Skills
- Past experience in event management
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, communication skills and an ethical mindset
- Active listening, presentation and conflict resolution skills
- Detail oriented, outgoing and sporty
- Standard First Aid, CPR/AED - Bonus
- NROC (of any sports field) - Bonus
