Job Objective/s
- To support in the performance of quality functions such as QA line audits and report findings to superior, and facilitates audit findings closure.
- To facilitate or perform failure analysis using available FA tools, Reliability, and quality inspections.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular QA audits in the manufacturing line to ensure compliance to the set requirements.
- Perform QA activities to ensure that the quality control inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of incoming materials, parts and components used in the manufacturing of products, partially assembled or finished products are effectively done by responsible personnel.
- Ensure proper documentations of the results of inspections and testing done during incoming, outgoing and in-process inspection activities.
- Check in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, communicating required adjustments to production supervisor/manager.
- Facilitate or perform failure analysis using available FA tools such as Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), X-Ray, Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX), high power microscope inspection, decapping, deprocessing, cross-sectioning, bench testing, and desoldering and soldering of components.
- Support other QA engineering analysis that requires generating reports.
- Performs other tasks as may be required by immediate superior.
Minimum Education
Minimum ITE, Diploma in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or Electronics Engineering
Minimum Experience
- At least 1 year quality assurance audit experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably in wafer fab, assembly and testing.
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Quality Control concepts.
- Knowledge or experience in Failure Analysis tools particularly SEM, Reliability, Quality Assurance/Quality Control inspections and testing in semiconductor or electronic manufacturing.
Specific Knowledge / Skills
- Able to use standard microscope and other QA inspection tools.
- Knowledge in ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or IATF 16949, ISO 13485 standards.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
- Computer skills (Microsoft office – Powerpoint, Word, Excel)
