United Language Centre (ULC), a leading language school and community hub for expats in Singapore, is actively seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Centre Manager to lead our Operation & Sales team. The Centre Manager will play a crucial role in guiding and supervising our Operation & Sales team, ensuring they effectively connect with expats and assist them in reaching their language learning goals.
Major Responsibilities Include but not limited to:
- Direct and administer all aspects of running the Language Center on a day-to-day basis.
- Perform sales function directed at obtaining new clients from consumer markets as well as supporting sales in developing existing local and Regional accounts for in-house and center programs.
- Planning and supervising sales promotion activities, and supporting sales activities to clients.
- Manage, train, evaluate, and when necessary recruit sales and administrative staff.
- Ensure that the Language Centre and its employees are in compliance with governmental and regulatory guidelines and regulations. This includes but is not limited to obtaining proper work permits/visas for all employees.
- Perform regular income and profit from operations analysis with a continuous goal of increasing sales volume and controlling costs.
- Submit reports in a timely manner to the Managing Director.
- Control, review, and approve all expenses (payroll and non-payroll) in the center.
- Complete a written monthly review of the operations results and operational activity in a timely manner.
- Quality Control: On-the-job training and supervision of receptionists and sales personnel;
- handling complaints; motivating and training staff to understand and meet customer’s needs and objections; maintaining adequate appearance of premises.
- Other tasks assigned by the Managing Director.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successful operations and sales management, preferably in the education sector.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team management and development.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required
