We are looking for a Data Architect to join the Engineering Operations Team! You will be responsible for designing, architecting, and evolving infrastructure and data models to support our Enterprise Engineering Operations services. This role involves partnering with global internal stakeholders and data engineering teams to build and maintain optimal data warehouse solutions and data marts, ensuring data integrity and quality across ETL and database design. The ultimate goal is to provide teams with timely access to critical information.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management & Design:
- Collaborate with a team of data analysts to deliver high-quality dashboards, reports, and analyses.
- Design, optimize, and maintain best practice data warehouse solutions and data models for efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Build and maintain standardized schema and data definitions across the organization.
- Data Integrity & Quality:
- Implement a robust data quality management process with automated checks to ensure data integrity and reliability.
- Produce and maintain documentation for all data sources and artifacts within Enterprise Operations Engagement to support self-service data access.
- Process Development & Optimization:
- Develop and implement processes around data retention and lifecycle management.
- Partner with Data Engineering and cross-functional teams to create core datasets that support both operational and exploratory analysis.
- Analyze and document structural requirements for new systems and applications, designing conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts.
- Data Governance & Performance:
- Establish best practice data governance to foster a data-informed organization.
- Recommend and implement solutions to enhance existing systems and elevate data maturity.
- Monitor and optimize data warehouse performance through regular testing, troubleshooting, and integrating new features.
Required Skills:
• Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in roles such as Data Analyst, Data Architect, Data Scientist, or Data Engineer
• Strong knowledge of database structure principles, data mining, and ETL processes.
• Expertise in data architecture, data modeling, schema design, and effective data management.
• Experience with SQL, Presto, Hive, Spark, and large datasets.
• Proven organizational and analytical abilities, with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience in gathering and analyzing system requirements.
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau or equivalent).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This is on an initial 1 year contract role.
