Job Description
- To follow and track all Owners & Charterers emails of fleet vessels for timely replies by Superintendents and advise Fleet Manager. Maintain/compile all technical reports/forms as required by the respective Owners and present to the Fleet Manager for sending within the stipulated time.
- To file/save all technical papers/files received from the vessels in their respective files/folders together with maintaining accuracy in ship’s records, drawings/plans and technical service reports.
- Plan, arrange and coordinate class and flag surveys or exemptions and other related requirements for the fleet as assigned. Monitor and ensure all Class/Trading and other mandatory certificates for all fleet vessels are valid.
- Class Survey status to be sent to the vessel every month-end after verification by fleet Superintendents.
- Review on a monthly basis, fleet compliance on status of certificates, consumption of fuel and lube oil and planned maintenance program onboard the fleet vessels.
- Guarantee claims raised by vessels to be saved as soft copy in dedicated folders. All Guarantee claims to be followed up and status to be kept updated.
- Assist with preparing and maintaining the repair database and compilation of Dry-Dock Specifications and review of yard tender for preparing the drydock comparison and compilation of repair reports.
- Arrange routine repairs/requisitions for service engineers/technicians as per vessel requests as directed by the Managers. Vessel visits as directed by Fleet Manager to make these assessments and plans.
- Reviewing and monitoring planned maintenance work orders and maintenance history data within the Planned Maintenance System.
Requirements
· Diploma in Marine Engineering or Equivalent Professional Qualification
· Minimum one year of sailing experience on similar type specific vessels, or 3 - year Experience as Technical Engineer or similar Capacity
· P&I Insurance policies and claim handling requirements
· Familiar with: a. ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001, ISM and ISPS Code, SIRE, CDI and TMSA requirements can be advance.
