Daily Trade Operations
- Capture, confirm and settle trades
- Confirm transactions with brokers/custodians ahead of market deadlines
- Validate and review all daily trade activities while maintaining required operational controls
- Research and resolve exceptions, reconciliations, incorrect transactions and issues
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to identify, analyze and resolve issues
- Liaise with internal departments to resolve miscellaneous funds issues
- Maintain appropriate records of daily, weekly or monthly trading activities
- Support the production of financial performance/trend analysis and/or quality reports for client, shareholders, directors and management team as necessary
- Escalate unresolved issues to COO as required
Fund Administration
- Oversee outsourced pricing and fund accounting activities currently provided by the service provider
- Acts as a central point of contact for all fund accounting, pricing questions and issues
- Review all fund expense payments and investigate items, as necessary. Produced an annual expense budget and monitor actual versus forecasted numbers. Produce regular fund expense management information for the firm's management committee. Implement effective accrual postings
- Maintained detailed and up-to-date portfolio of holdings data and associated accounting treatments
- Manage the funds’ annual and interim report and accountant production process
- Create and maintain internal processes and procedures for the full spectrum of activities covered by the role.
- Ensure monthly NAVs are produced in a timely and accurate manner and in accordance with the prevailing regulations
- Ensure fund accounting activities are delivered in accordance with the agreed service standard agreements and associated commercial terms
- Assist to prepare financial and audit reports
Information Technology
- Co-ordinate with IT Vendor on IT Security, Desktop and Application Support to resolve user issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree or diploma in Accounting or any disipline
- Basic knowledge on financial products i.e Equities, Fixed Income and Derivatives
- MS office proficiency
- Strong communication, organizational, interpersonal skills
- Detail oriented and ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Team player, ability to multi task
