Relationship Management / Business Development:
- Lead the business development activities for the team and build relationships with current / prospective clients
- Understanding the client needs and prepare a time plan for execution and completion of the transaction
- Being the interface between the client & the investor externally & the execution team internally
- Managing the client relationships at appropriate levels
- Ensuring completion of all assignments / tasks that have been mandated to Avista assigned to you
Execution Role:
- Primary responsibility to achieve annual revenue targets individually and as a team within the requisite cost parameters and within the set timelines
- Oversee the operational aspects of a prospective deal from origination to conversion into a client & finally into a mandate
- Oversee the research & analysis of various companies & industries, so as to ensure that the team has built enough knowledge & data required for any foreseeable transaction
- Be well versed with the various financial products that the company is offering & tap the market based on the same
- Coordinate the drafting of information memorandum and management presentations and other deal collaterals
- Analytical review of client financial and valuation model
Deal Generation:
- Continuously network and build a rolodex of contacts for the company
- Be part of forums/conferences/seminars to build connects
- Find connects and contacts for potential clients
- Give potential leads and probable deal connects to Director
- Engagewith potential client as a first level to obtain information and deal clarity
Supervise and Guide in the Creation of Analytical Deal Documentation:
- Financial models using excel and other financial tools
- Financial analysis like DCF, Proforma earnings, accretion/dilution, sum of the parts, etc.
- Comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis and trading multiples etc.
- Client due diligence
General responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the team
- Assigning tasks within the team members
- Over a period of time build the team to grow this area of the business
- Recognizing and address the training needs of team members
Knowledge
- Valuation techniques and methodologies (Purchase Price Allocations (PPA), Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Income Approach, or Market Comparables)
- Knowledge of domestic and international markets, technical accounting and operational skills and experience with related type of financial instruments.
- Ability to comprehend data (both qualitative & quantitative) and communicate succinctly.
- Should be able to conduct complicated financial analysis and offer the appropriate corporate finance solution
- Good understanding of sectors/industries that Avista focuses on
- Complete knowledge of the various Investment Banking products offered by Avista
- Ability to build financial models using financials tools and spread sheets
- Valuation skills – DCF, SOTP, Relative Valuation
- Good financial acumen and numbers skills
- Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc
