Core Responsibilities
• Manage the balance sheet and profit & loss statements
• Update the management information system (MIS) on a daily basis
• Supervise cash flow and perform bank reconciliations
• Prepare and promptly issue invoices and credit notes
• Monitor and collect accounts receivable and payments, ensuring the billing system is up to date
• Oversee, understand, and execute the complete accounting process from shipper invoicing/payment to customer invoicing/payments, including audits
• Coordinate with insurance companies for marine and cargo coverage
• Foster relationships with international team members, bankers, and traders
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Maritime, International Business, or International Trade
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
• Preferably familiar with accounting practices in the maritime industry
• Capable of multitasking and meeting tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
• A team player who is also able to work independently and is well-organized
• Keen attention to detail, a curious mindset, and a flexible approach
