Early Intervention Teacher

As an Early intervention teacher, you will work with children with disabilities and/or developmental delays. The position reports to the Senior Early Intervention Teacher.


Role & Responsibilities

· Develop and put in place education plans based on individual child's needs

· Prepare teaching materials and resources according to the child's developmental level

· Monitor progress and discuss child's learning progress and evaluate goals for individual child

· Collaborate closely with families and professionals through regular case reviews


Requirement:

. Specialist Diploma in Early Childhood Intervention (Special Needs) (SDESN) or acceptable equivalent

· Diploma in Special Education by National Institute of Education (NIE)

. Certificate in Autism by Autism Resource Centre

. Strong interest and commitment in working with children with learning disability, developmental delay and/or special needs – Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Global Developmental Delay, and a variety of learning and behavioural challenges

· Strong organisational and communication skills

· Ability to work well in a team

· Passion to help special needs children to maximise their talents and potential
