Job Summary

• Establish relationship with external stakeholders (e.g. property agents, brokers, other related other sales agents) to increase referrals for mortgage loans under individual names.
• Able to work solo in a new environment (e.g. show flats, events).
• Possess good interpersonal skills to handle loan related enquiries.
• Engaging affluent and mass market clients for their mortgage requests from internal stakeholders such as marketing campaigns, inbounds mortgage enquiries and branch walk-in/referrals.
• End-to-end implementation of mortgage loan application process. Responsible for the processing of cases right up to customer’s acceptance of loan offer.
• Able to perform off-office hours and weekend activities when required. (e.g. networking events, campaigns and show flats)
• Keep abreast of market trends and competitor offerings and conduct regular market updates and follow-up activities for target customer groups, to better enhance the product differentiation in relation to external competition.

· Awareness and understanding of the bank’s mortgage business strategy and processes.

Business

· Awareness and understanding of the Singapore Real Estate market, Mortgage Industry environment and related retail banks products.

Processes

· The role holder is primarily responsible for the pro-active acquisition and activation of mortgage loan business for the Bank.

· Sales emphasis will be mainly on individual customers with needs on their residential and commercial mortgage loans.

· Successful candidates will also be required to provide wider range of products such as bancassurance and priority banking propositions to targeted mortgage segments.

· Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values within sales team.

· Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.

· Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

· Lead the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank’s Conduct Principles: Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment

Key stakeholders

· Establish relationship with external stakeholders (e.g. property agents, brokers, related other external sales agents) to increase referrals for mortgages under individual names

Our Ideal Candidate

· Diploma Holder or any other grades above

· Knowledge in Mortgage Regulations & Frameworks

· 5+ years of experience in Banking

· Prior experience with Retail Mortgage Sales

Role Specific Technical Competencies

· Knowledge in Real Estate Market

· Conversant & able to work with external partners.

· Stakeholder experience
