Role and Responsibilities
- Handle the technical aspect of various applications and platforms for the Platforms team.
- Work closely with ICT system managers and various service integrators/vendors to bridge the gap in ICT projects.
- Will be tasked to front various application/platforms for the Platforms team.
- Developing automation scripts and tooling using an IT automation tool.
- Implement projects within their emplaced practice to ensure service delivery and support to meet the intended availability, continuity and capacity requirements.
- Translate business requirement into infrastructure design.
- Manage Infrastructure projects and services to support application systems environments.
- Developing automation scripts and tooling using Ansible automation.
- Request to provision new VMs for new systems.
- Manage system architecture, resource planning, infrastructure performance and system hosting environment from server hardware till OS layer (Excluding hypervisor and Storage) in support of new applications.
- Main infrastructure single-point-of contact for all new application system initiatives and to support/assist in application architecture design, integration and acceptance and infrastructure performance testing.
- Support Operations Engineer on Infrastructure and Systems.
- Assist in Infrastructure Architecture review, support and endorsement Review Hardening standards for OS, database.
- Hosting environment infrastructure on-boarding (design, setup, configuration, implementation, testing and commissioning of infrastructure components).
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 5-8 years of working experience in similar field.
- Hands-on experience in relevant fields such as Linux RHEL and AIX OS, OS virtualization technologies, SAN storage and/or databases.
- Strong experience with Red Hat products like Red Hat Identity Management (IdM), Satellite/Capsule.
- Experience with Axway API management – for API
- Must have worked in Cloud environment (eg. AWS, Azure, etc)
- Experience with writing automation scripts using Ansible.
- Ability to take a broad, strategic perspective as well as drill deep to understand business needs and challenges.
- Ability to analyse and identify comprehensive solutions considering all functional implications while developing a workable solution.
- Ability to be a team player, as well as being individually resourceful.
- Embrace active learning and on-job training to widen one’s knowledge.
The following knowledge or experience will be helpful:
- Log management system (eg. Syslog-ng log management, Splunk)
- Container platforms (eg. RedHat OpenShift, Tanzu, etc)
- Orchestration platform (eg. CA Workload Automation Autosys, CloudBees)
- K2 BlackPearl workflow Infrastructure
- Experience in some form of programming languages, mainly Java.
