- Job Purpose
Assist the DDI team to provide basic care for patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Duties and Responsibilities
2.1 Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
Outpatient setting
- Assists in the day to day operation by performing the following duties
- Provide instruction for patients to change before procedure
- Assist patients in the change room as whenever help is needed
- Assist in lifting, moving and transporting patients
- Assist patients to procedure room
- Attend to patients’ queries appropriately.
- Assist to manage the queue and escalate to supervisor when necessary
- Maintain clean and safe environment
- Change the linen in the procedure room every morning and ensure sufficient blankets in the rooms.
- Monitor usage and disposal of the gowns and replenish daily
Inpatient setting
- Assist to call house-keeping for terminal cleaning or disinfection of the room
- Give and remove/assist toilet/bedpans and urinals to inpatients
- Answer patient’s call bell and render assistance to patient
- Provide good patient care and be attentive to their need
- Help to observe changes in patient’s condition, and escalate as whenever necessarily.
- Assist radiographers / nurses in patient transfers in the procedural area.
- Prepare patients for imaging/procedures (e.g. risk factor screening, change patients)
- Conduct on-the-job training (OJT) for new healthcare assistant (HA).
- Keep good record and adhere to Patient Data Protection guidelines
- Assist in the inventory stock tracking and monitoring, by topping up the supplies in the ultrasound room and inform the supervisor if the stocks need to be replenished.
2.2 Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)
- Maintain general housekeeping of procedure areas.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by radiographer in-charge / radiographer on duty supervisor.

- Preferably GCE N levels and above
- Responsible with good interpersonal and communication skills
- Have initiative and is a team player
