Responsibilities:
- Research securities of target industries and companies to provide investment recommendations
- Collect and interpret company data to facilitate recommendations
- Data modelling: input data into financial models to create charts, dashboards and supporting material
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial services industry happenings and current events
- Conduct primary/secondary research from industry sources and in-house UOBKH publications
- Gain a deeper understanding of equity market fundamentals & work with internal and external stakeholders to make data-driven contributions to support seniors in the ECM team on origination, syndication as well as execution tasks
Requirements:
- Financial / Accounting/ Economics background preferred, entry level applicants from reputable universities are welcome to apply
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Strong verbal and written communications skills, particularly the ability to articulate ideas in a concise and accurate manner
- A keen eye for presentation and details, the ability to produce professional Powerpoint presentations is a key analyst quality
- Adept at Microsoft Office products, in particular Powerpoint and Excel. Familiarity with the Bloomberg Terminal will be an added bonus
- Fluency in Chinese for active liaising with Mandarin speaking clients will be an added advantage
- Proven ability to think strategically, creative problem solver
- Demonstrated record of working collaboratively
- Ability to work in dynamic situations i.e. prioritize and respond well to changing circumstances, ad hoc tasks and deadlines
