The Department and position


The department is responsible for development and maintenance of Capital Market applications used by worldwide users.


“Run the bank” is the first mission of IT department. It involves many frontline IT professionals who understand the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems. They are continuously working with business users, infrastructure engineer and system managers.


The role will focus primarily on the build and delivery in-house component platform in line with the major global projects with a high value budget. You will lead and keep engage 10 to 15 team members composed by business analyst, technical lead, software developers and Application support.


Main responsibilities


You will ensure the role of Delivery leader in Singapore leading a team in charge of Post Trade Credit IT systems for the filiere Bonds or RSF, directly reporting to head of section Post Trade.


Delivery Leader is responsible for the IT delivery of his team. He ensures the proper functioning of the team, promotes continuous improvement, cooperation and autonomy. He is in charge of removing obstacles from Team roadmap.


In line with this, you will be fully accountable and responsible of your team’s deliveries on schedule, in conformance to the bank’s policies and standards and within agreed levels of quality.


You will be ensuring success criteria are defined upfront to promote alignment and actively manage to expected project outcomes in line with the program outcomes.


As part of an integrated organization across 3 main sites (Paris, SQY, Singapore), you will forge close relationships with program director, others team leads, architecture functions and quality assurance teams. There will be a limited travel aspect to this role (approx. 25%).


A strong maturity in project management is required as you will be part of the project committee, reporting the progress highlights with key performance indicator, evaluating risk assessment and proposing mitigation, ensuring transparency throughout project lifecycle.


Main duties details


Oversee and Supports the team on achieving its objectives on both development delivery of software systems and its production stability within the organization unit

• Remove all blocking issues going beyond the team’s authority or requiring support from other teams

• Inspire the team on new practices and quality standards, in strong partnership with the Technical Leader

• Be accountable for Production stability of his scope

• Monitor the results and quality of the different software solutions and projects implemented in the organization.

• Oversee the development of Proof-of-Concept/ solutions and provide technical expertise on the development of software and platform features, ensuring that appropriate security and risk factors are considered.

• Oversee study and support decision process for acquisition of external software or component whenever relevant and needed.

• Ensure the good culture and mindset in term of compliance and security matters across all team members

• Coaches the team to maximize autonomy and Continuous Improvement

• Ensure actions are taken during Retrospectives and delivered

• Follow performances indicators (team velocity, quality, motivation)


Facilitate Team delivery

• Challenges requirements according to constraints

• Ensures User Stories are written & the quality of the stories and acceptance criteria

Ensures reporting for the team

• Ensure budget consumption transparency with his aligned Product Owner on assigned project

• Manage delivery, production reporting with the PO


Support domain strategy and interface with business

• Interface with effective communication with business stakeholders to align their needs and collect their feedback

• Interface with head office division (“filiere”) covered by these activities

• Foster innovation and change management aligned with global CMI strategy

• Organize the work/activities of the teams to ensure the stability of the production throughout the following pillars: application monitoring, incident and requests management, problem management and continuous improvement


Secondary duties


• Serving as backup person for absent ISAP/CMI Manager and ISAP/CMI/T2R Members when required

• Other duties may be assigned


The position requires autonomy and reliability in performing duties while maintaining close communication with rest of project/support team.


Qualifications and Profile


Mandatory

• At least 10 years in Software development or DevOps team

• At least 5 years in application support leadership

• Solid experience with business interaction

• At least 5-year experience with international investment banking domain

• Relevant experience into post trade process for several financial product (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)


Good to have

  • Understanding of trade life cycle, financial products (Treasury, FX, Bonds, Credit, IRD…)
  • Experience in Murex or Calypso
  • Exposure to Capital Market FO/BO system (E.g. Summit, Kondor+, Murex…)

Education & Work Experience:

• Senior level (min. 10 years)

• Bachelor and above in relevant specialities
