Head of HR, MedTech Supply Chain APAC

Role overview:

Johnson & Johnson MedTech is seeking a qualified and experienced professional for the position of Head HR MedTech Supply Chain Asia Pacific in Singapore.

As Head of HR, you will provide strategic HR partnership to APAC MedTech Supply Chain organization in you will be responsible for leading human resources initiatives, specifically within the MedTech Supply Chain division in the Asia Pacific region. You will play a critical role in managing and aligning the HR function with business objectives, driving workforce development, and ensuring HR programs are implemented effectively

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies and programs that support the MedTech Supply Chain business objectives in the Asia Pacific region.
  • Collaborate with senior business leaders to understand their talent needs and provide strategic HR guidance and support.
  • Partner with global HR teams to ensure the alignment of global HR initiatives and local needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous process improvement and innovation within the HR function.

Business strategy

  • Fluent in key business strategies (even outside of people topics), as well as external market competitive landscape
  • Partner with the business on how to ensure organization is optimally set up to deliver on business strategy inclusive of annual business planning and long-range financial planning (e.g., workforce planning)

Talent strategy and management

  • Drive leading-edge talent development solutions and sharp assessment to grow global leadership and strengthen the talent pipeline.
  • Identify and diagnose talent needs of the business through strong business and analytical acumen and effective analysis
  • Create and deploy talent strategy to attract, develop, reward, and retain talent, including robust succession-planned pipeline and critical capability building (e.g., digital)
  • Execute DE&I strategy in partnership with the business
  • Partner across OneHR model to assess current state and enhance capability through buy/build/borrow strategy in partnership with Talent Acquisition/Access and J&J Learn

Culture and engagement

  • Partner with business leaders to shape culture and employee engagement strategies guided by Our Credo/Our Voice survey insights, employee sentiment, attrition and exit survey insights, predictive retention modeling, etc.
  • Identify, define, and help build key mindsets/behaviors for the business in partnership with business leaders
  • Drive culture of Our Credo, growth, collaboration, and inclusion within teams

Leadership coaching and effectiveness

  • Develop trusted partnerships and coaching relationships with leaders and teams to build leadership capabilities and enhance leader impact
  • Ensure meaningful engagement, development, energy, and effective performance of team

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, including experience in supply chain or operations roles
  • Bachelor's degree is required. An advanced degree in HR or a related field is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HR policies, practices, and employment laws in the Asia Pacific region
  • Proven ability to influence and partner with senior business leaders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop high-performing HR teams
  • Ability to work effectively in a global and diverse environment.
  • Excellent communication and proficiency in local languages of the Asia Pacific region is preferred due to APAC regional responsibilities.
