Description:
- Carry out daily checks to ensure safe work practices are complied with ad safe working conditions, in accordance to the WSH Act, prevail at the site.
- Assist the Employer and SMSC on requirement and implementation of workplace safety and health inspections
- Principate in safety reviews by contactor and safety committee meetings, Design for Safety reviews, and provide the project team with recommendations to improve safety
- Assist Superintending officer (S.O.), contractor and contractor safety team to identify and assess any foreseeable risk arising from the worksite or work processes therein
- Assist S.O., contractor and contractor safety team to identify any unsafe condition in the worksite or unsafe work practices which is carried out in the worksite.
- Carry out joint inspections with contractors safety team to ensure safe work conditions and safe work practices are implemented on site.
- Recommend to S.O., contractor, and contractor safety team reasonably practicable measure to eliminate any foreseeable risk to any persona who is at work in that worksite or may be affected by the occupier undertaking in the worksite.
- Recommend to the project team to implement such reasonable practicable measure to minimise the risk and such safe work procedures to control the risk, where it is not reasonable practicable to eliminate the risk.
- Recommend to the project team to implement such reasonable practicable measure to remedy the unsafe conditions or unsafe work practices.
Requirement:
- Registered with MOM as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer and have been practicing as WSHO for at least 5 years.
- Has obtained a certificate in DfS appreciation course.
