- To prepare the site for work, which may include taking on staff, planning the work schedules, and establishing on site offices, in accordance to the objectives established by the Project Manager.
- To monitor progress and ensure that deadlines are met.
- To ensure good / safe working conditions and that the well being of workers are the site are taken care of
- To coordinate and oversee delivery of materials
- To conduct safety checks
- To manage and address work related issues as they arise
- To formulate the construction as well as maintenance plan
- To liaise with architects, engineers, surveyors, planners, contractors as necessary.
- To ensure that work complies with building regulations, safety codes, design, quality etc
- To provide regular progress reports to management
- To act as the first point of contact for the Company at the site
